On August 10, Linkin Park premiered the new song "The Light That Never Comes," a collaboration with turntablist Steve Aoki, who took the stage with them during the performance. "Steve and I met up as a year ago, maybe more," Linkin Park co-frontman Mike Shinoda said during a Q & A with fans. "[The music] happened very organically, just throwing ideas back and forth."
"The Light That Never Comes" will not be the next Linkin Park album. Bennington says in an interview with Yahoo. Neither will be featured on the soundtrack of the movie Mall, which is being directed by keyboardist Joseph Hahn
